An official transcript is one that is signed by the registrar and has the registrar's stamp on the sealed envelope. When going to graduate school, or transferring colleges, etc. the place requesting the official transcript will want to see your transcript in the above described envelope. The envelope must be mailed from the issuing college or university and will not be accepted by you if hand delivered.
